The 21st fair of tourism was held in Incheba on January 29th till February 1st 2015. There were over 360 exhibitors from 22 countries. Three organizations from Serbia were among them and presented the tourism of Slovaks livnig in Vojvodina. Those were the Tourist Organization of Kovačica Municipality, Tourist Organization of Bački Petrovac Municipality and the Cultural Institute of Vojvodina's Slovaks. Concurrently there was held the International fair of gastronomy called Danubius Gastro with the participation of nearly 380 exhibitors from 14 countries. On this gastronomy fair the carving craftsman from Padina Jaroslav Praskáč presented his work.
Slovakiatour is the largest tourism fair in Slovakia and it is one of the most important events in Central Europe. The Opening ceremony was on Thursday, January 29th, 2015 which participated the President of the National Council of the Slovakia Peter Pellegrini, members of the Slovak government, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Slovakia and other distinguished guests.
On the first day the Slovak President Andrej Kiska visited the fair and stopped at the stand of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina. In a brief interview with the President the directress of CIVS Milina Sklabinská, directress of TOOK Ivana Svetlíková and worker of CIVS Katarína Mosnáková Bagľašová have informed him about the number of Slovaks living in Serbia, interesting events and destinations, which can be visited among Slovaks in Serbia. The representatives of Slovaks from Vojvodina gave the President a book called Slovaks in Serbia from the cultural aspect and a wine bottle with the reproductions of Martin Jonáš on it.
It was very busy during the four days of the fair at the stand of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina. Many visitors has expressed an interest to spend a summer holiday in Serbia, and we have established many new valuable contacts with regions of Slovakia, also with Moravskoslezký region of the Czech Republic, and we also made plans for new international projects. The Tourist Organization of Vojvodina stand was visited by many notable people, colleagues and friends of CIVS like His Excellency Šani Dermak, the Ambassador of the Serbian Republic in Slovakia, Dáša Szabóová from the Ministry of Transport Construction and Regional Development, member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Igor Hraško with wife, Igor Kováč and Magdaléna Janíková from the Office for Slovaks living abroad, ethnologist Mojmír Benža, writer Miroslav Demák, organist Janko Siroma, journalist Ingrid Slaninková and many others. Exhibitor booth was adorned with photo panels made by Michal Madacký.
