A seminar called Slovak Connection is being held in Bratislava and it is organized by the Office for Slovaks living abroad. The goal is to present the best portals of Slovaks living abroad and in the same time to gather a team of professionals who would participate in creation of one portal which will be unified and made for Slovaks from abroad called Slovenské zahraničie (Slovak outland).
This seminar will be organized like a forum during which the professionals will have a presentation of their portals from Australia, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Serbia. The main point of this seminar will be a combination of professional presentations with further discussions of the administrators, technology professionals, managers, editors and publicists of the Slovaks living abroad portals as much as professionals who are active in Slovakia.
Milina Sklabinská, the director of Cultural institute of Vojvodina Slovaks will present the cultural portal www.slovackizavod.org.rs, its foundation, maintainance and rubrics which document, and inform the internet users about the rich cultural infrastructure of Slovaks living in Vojvodina. It will also be a great opportunity to put in remembrance the month October and the year 2009 when the portal was activated.
The seminar Slovak Connection will begin on October 10th at 9.00 a. m. At the Government office of Slovak Republic with the presence of the president of the Office for Slovaks living abroad Milan Vetrák.
