The Institute engages in scientific, developmental and applied research in the fields of culture, arts, culture management and culture production as well as cultural tourism and organizing cultural manifestations.
Developmental-Research Unit conducts scientific research into the lives of minorities and culture and art of the Slovak community in AP Vojvodina. Also, it studies and analyses the network of institutions, organizations and societies of Slovaks in Vojvodina. Moreover, it analyses the fiscal policy and the economics of culture as well as their sources of finances.
This Unit draws up projects for developmental and applied research in the fields of culture and arts, general studies and analysis. It also monitors problems and effects of law enforcement in culture. It engages in education and specialization of the employees in the fields of culture and arts.
The INDOC Unit cooperates with local self-governments, cultural and scientific institutions and civil associations. It studies their cultural development, particularly the development of the cultural institutions in AP Vojvodina. It collects the documentation from all areas of life, culture and arts of Vojvodina's Slovaks. It also publishes books, brochures, magazines, CDs, etc. It forms the electronic archives and database of cultural institutions, manifestations and all the activities the Institute engages in. It also organizes and develops cultural tourism.
Cultural Manifestation, Specialization
and Education Unit in culture and arts; it supports, coordinates and
realizes programs and activities of the most significant
manifestations which contribute to growth of culture and arts of
Vojvodina's Slovaks as well as the financial plans for their
realization.
The Institute sets up exhibitions,
auctions, and presentations of all forms of arts within its own
display area as well as in cooperation with cultural institutions and
civil organizations.
The Institute will expand its international cooperation in the fields of science, culture and arts of Vojvodina's Slovaks in order to improve and develop international cultural cooperation of Vojvodina's Slovaks with their mother country, neighboring countries and regions and other countries by engaging in various cultural activities such as exchange of theatre troupes, folk dancing ensembles, books, magazines, organizing gatherings, seminars in the fields of culture and arts and so on.
