Institute Management Structure

According to the Decision of Establishing the Vojvodina Slovak Cultural Institute and the Statute of the Institute, the Institute's organs are: The Director, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.

The Director

The Director is the head of the Institute. They are appointed and released from duties by the Executive Council based on the recommendation of the National Council of Slovak Minority, for the period of four years with the possibility of reappointment.

The Director can be the person who, in addition to the general requests stated by the law, has the minimum of a bachelor's degree in social sciences and five years of working experience in the fields of culture and arts. The person appointed but not reappointed for the position of the Director is entitled to the employment by the Institute at the job position which is in accordance to their acquired degree of education.

 

According to the article 20 of the Statute, The Director:

  • represents the Institute;

  • organizes and manages the Institute's activities;

  • executes the decisions of the Board of Directors;

  • is responsible for the legitimacy of the work performed by the Institute;

  • proposes the Work Program;

  • proposes documents to the Board of Directors and adopts the documents of inside organization and work systematization;

  • performs all other activities stated by the law and the Statute.

The Board of Directors

According to the article 21 of the Statute, the Board of Directors has a chairman and eight members. Both the chairman and the members are appointed and released from duties by the Executive Council based on the recommendation of the National Council of Slovak Minority.

The recommendation for the appointment of the chairman and the other members of the Board consists of at least a third more candidates than there are members of the Board. The chairman and the members of the Board are appointed for the period of four years with the possibility of reappointment.

 

The board of directors:

  • passes Instiute's Statute;

  • passes the Annual Work Program;

  • adopts the Finacial Plan;

  • adopts the Business Report;

  • adopts the Balance Statement;

  • decides on the legitimate use of funds;

  • decides on legitimate status changes;

  • performs other activities stated by the law, Provincial acts and the Statute.

    The Executive Council of AP Vojvodina issues the approval of the Statute, the Financial Plan and the Balance Statement.

 

The Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board consists of a chairman and two members. Both the chairman and the members are appointed and released from duties by the Executive Council based on the recommendation of the National Council of Slovak Minority.

The recommendation for the appointment of the chairman and the other members of the Board consists of at least a third more candidates than there are members of the Board. The chairman and the members of the Board are appointed for the period of four years with the possibility of reappointment.

According to the article 21 of the Statute, the Supervisory Board supervises the legitimacy of the Institute's work, reviews the Balance Statement and business reports and performs other activities stated by the law and the Statute.
