Ján Kňazovic (Kovacica, 1925-1985). He completed six years of primary school. Became a farmer and married Mara having a daughter Ana. By the end of the Second World War, he began to paint as a soldier and became one of the first naïve artists in Kovacica. Village life inspired his artwork. Knjazovic had many solo (about 100) and collective (about 400) exhibitions at home and abroad. From 1952 to 1985 he exhibited at “Kovacica October” festival. Paintings by this author are part of many museum and private collections around the world (Louvre, Vatican and so on). He received many awards and prizes for his creative work.
